I am a Canadian artist but was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands. My mother is a fibre artist and my stepfather was an artist and painted in watercolours, acrylics and oils. There always was a lot of art in the home so the love and appreciation of art rubbed off on me. I focus on watercolours and at times add definition and punch to my work with ink.

Subject matter includes places I have travelled to, landscapes, flowers, people and pets. However, I also work in acrylics and oils.

I completed my Fine Arts Certificate (with distinction) at the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta in 2016. In 2015, as a birthday present for my 60th birthday, my lovely husband, George, arranged for a painting holiday in Provence, France. That motivated me more than ever, to paint, paint, paint.
